Resistance and strength training exercises are also crucial, as they are the most effective methods to increase muscle mass and strength. However, such exercise must be tailored to the individual's capabilities and health status, often requiring the guidance of a physical therapist or a fitness professional.

Preventing sarcopenic obesity involves lifestyle changes that incorporate both diet and exercise.
